Using Computers for Surgery
In LASIK, LASEK, PRK and all types of laser refractive eye surgeries, ophthalmologists (eye doctors) use specialized computers to help them perform their surgery. The doctor uses a computer to adjust the laser to your prescription. During the actual surgical procedure, you will be asked to look at a target light while the doctor tracks your eye/s through a microscope while the laser sends pulses of light to your cornea.
